February 25, 2020 in accordance with the State program for ensuring the flight safety of civil aviation aircraft of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 346 of 12.17.2014y. “Safety Day” was held with the participation of representatives of airlines and civil aviation organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The director of the CA Agency in his report brought to those present with the changes in the structure of the industry, in connection with the formation of the Ministry of Transport and the transformation of the State Aviation Inspection of the Republic of Uzbekistan into the CA Agency, about the tasks and functions assigned to it, as well as the ongoing work to improve regulatory documents to ensure safety.

The Head of the Department of Aviation Accidents and Incidents of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan described the general state of flight safety in 2019 compared to 2018, noted the main reasons / factors that led to air events in 2019, briefly recalled the circumstances and causes of aviation incidents related to the negative impact “Human factor”, and also cited statistics on flight safety over the past five years. An assessment was made of the state of flight safety for 2019 as a whole, paying special attention to aviation events related to the actions of the air personnel (the negative impact of the Human Factor) and the need to take drastic measures to reduce events associated with the negative impact of the Human Factor.

In their speeches, representatives of the civil aviation organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan - "Uzbekistan Airways" JSC, "Uzbekistan Airports" JSC and "Uzaeronavigation" Center assessed the activities of enterprises to ensure flight safety and suggestions to improve the safety of flights in civil aviation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Based on the results of the “Flight Safety Day”, the tasks to ensure flight safety for 2020 were identified in the light of ongoing reforms in the civil aviation system of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
